I attended Michigan State University and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. I believe that any student is capable of learning any subject. The key, though, is that the tutor or teacher must make sure his or her approach is congruent with the student's learning style. School work normally came very easy to me - except for Math. In middle school, it felt like I would never break through to an understanding of the concepts. Fortunately, a teacher came along who was both patient and flexible and helped me learn Math in a way that I learned most everything. When that happened, the proverbial light came on. I think it would be wonderful for every teacher to be required to spend two years having to instruct their most difficult subject. I think this would really strengthen their teaching abilities. I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. Reading is one of my favorite pastimes, and I enjoy the genres of history, science fiction, and fantasy. I like to hike, camp, and travel internationally. I also enjoy hurling, which is the national sport of Ireland.
